Beforever Report 3 - Julie and Rebecca

JULIE

I can't even talk about Julie right now because I'm so excited about this egg chair of hers! It hooks up to ipods and plays music, it's basically a speaker that doubles as a doll chair! It looks so cozy in there, I may have to get it for my Isabelle, she'd love it!

The food is very bright and plasticky in my opinion. Even the popcorn doesn't look as realistic as her older one which also had molded popcorn. The phone I love!

The hugging monkeys are cute, I don't know the historical significance of them so they're just really cute to me!

I think this dress looks pretty on Julie. I'm not crazy about it but I do like it a lot better than her older one.

I love her coat! I will most likely get it for Isabelle. The material is made with  faux suede, it's a bit on the thinner side though.

I like this outfit too, it's another one I'm considering for Isabelle.

REBECCA

I love her hat!

What a lovely color on Rebecca!

Beforever Report 2 - Addy and Kit

Addy

Many have said that Addy was the star of the Beforever revamp and I would have to agree. I don't own an Addy doll but I really appreciate her and her collection and I thought they did a great job on her.

Addy's meet dress is my favorite outfit from the whole Beforever collection. I love the vibrant blue and the grosgrain ribbon details. I actually purchased it for my Kirsten and it looks pretty on her too.

Addy's school outfit looks amazing! It was only in the window so I couldn't feel the material (I guess I could've opened up a box, duh!!) but it looks so well made and detailed. I really like the color too, it looks lovely on Addy. And her new hairstyle is beautiful too. I unfortunately failed to get a detailed shot of her lunch, which I was pleased to see return!

KIT

Kit looks so cute in her new meet outfit with her haircut! I like her meet outfit and considered getting it for Molly and Emily, but something about the size of the buckle and buttons felt off for me. So I didn't get it.

Her new outfits are very colorful! You can see better in these pictures how much shorter her hair is, she looks super cute!

The typewriter is back!! (with double the price, yikes!) I ended up getting it at the last minute though since I have Kit's desk which has been begging to have a typewriter on it. :)

Beforever Report 1 - Welcome Back Samantha

I was so excited to be able to go to AGPLA on launch day. As soon as I signed in for the pre-shopping event I ran upstairs to the historical (I mean Beforever!) room and immediately was drawn to Samantha and her ice cream parlor.

I think the ice cream parlor is really well done and consistent with what I expect from American Girl. It's beautiful, it's detailed, it appears to be made with high quality materials. I was pleased to find that the ice cream scoop and cups and dishes are heavy and sturdy.

I think she is beautiful. I also like her meet outfit which I ended up purchasing.

Her necklace is really pretty. It comes with her accessories set.

I love this dress, but they were all in windows so I couldn't feel the fabric for a quality test. I also don't mind it comes with the tea set since I don't own any of her original dishes.

The petit fours are molded together. If I end up getting this maybe I'll look for a loose set of her older petit fours, or just get some real ones. I like props you can eat!

I like that this coat is black and white, but I personally don't like the dalmation like fur. Also the material felt thinner than what I would like. I don't hate it though, she looks fashionable in it.

The bike is cute, don't mind the pink, but since I already have Molly's I don't need it. If ever (I won't but IF) I get another bicycle it would be Julie's. Her original bicycle was more unique. I also don't care too much for this outfit. The pants and boots are cute, but the top I'm not loving too much. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Jip is cute. He is quite fluffy. He looks like he could be friends with Isabelle's cat Tutu.

Her bed is pretty. Not something I need or would get but I like it.

Her nightgown is nice, but I have her original that works all year round so don't feel a need to get this but I really like it. It looks lovely on her. I really love the bedroom accessories set. The teddy bear is really cute. Is it smaller than the original? I'm so glad they brought back her Wizard of Oz book, for me it ties the old and the new collection together and makes it familiar. I would get the set just for the book!

Here's the music box that comes with the bedroom set. It's made of wood and appears to be well made with high quality material. Very pleased!

China

For my final submission for the Miss AGPT contest I went to China! Well, not exactly. It was a Chinese garden made to look like China but it really felt like I was there. I even got to wear a beautiful Chinese dress!

First some lunch. I love noodles!

I think I ate too much noodles. Dress started to feel tighter after lunch!

 Isn't China beautiful?!

Here you can see my full outfit. Isn't it gorgeous?!

I felt like a Chinese princess.

Taking a break to relax by the lovely bridge.

I think I'm getting a hang of this posing thing!

After visiting the Chinese garden we headed out to another type of garden and I changed into Felicity's dress.

There were so many flowers! If I look a little scared here because there were a lot of bees! buzzzzzzzzzzz...

I even climbed a tree, just like Felicity!

This was truly a memorable day for me!

Thrilling

Hi It's me Molly again showing some pictures of my third submission for the Miss AGPT contest. The theme was "Thrilling"! I knew right away what I wanted to show. There's nothing that is more fun and thrilling for me than riding my bike downhill really fast! Sometimes I even let go of my hands. Sometimes both my hands and feet, but that usually doesn't turn out so well!

 See?! No hands!

Oops! I usually end up crashing though.

Forever

Hi! This is Molly! So I recently entered the Miss AGPT contest on the American Girl Playthings forum and had to take a whole load of pictures. These are photos from the 2nd round. The theme was "Forever".

We went to the beach, and I wanted to take a picture showing the locket my dad gave me before he left for the war.

Bennett was very curious and I had to keep the locket away from him.

Can you see the picture of my dad that I put inside the locket?

Maybe you can see better here.

This is the photo I ended up submitting, me and Bennett thinking of dad...
